As Autumn time has officially hit we know it’s a tad harder to get into the zone and keep focus when the weather is cold and dark.
Please see below some basic tips on how to stay focused which will help keep focus and routine in place to see results.
1. Set New Goals: Autumn is the perfect time to set fresh fitness goals. Whether it's training for a fall race or focusing on a specific fitness milestone, having a target gives you purpose and drive. Over the next 2 weeks we will be discussing new small and long term goals with all our regular clients.
2. Embrace Autumn Activities: Take advantage of the season with outdoor activities like hiking, trail running, or biking. The changing scenery can make exercise more enjoyable. Make sure you stay active is the key.
3. Switch Up Your Routine: Keep things exciting by trying new workouts. Variety can keep you engaged and avoid boredom. This is easy to achieve when you have us but try different classes outside your PT sessions or go for a different route on your runs or walks.
4. Prepare for the Weather: Invest in comfortable, weather-appropriate gear. Layers, moisture-wicking fabrics, and gloves or hats can make a big difference in colder temperatures.
5. Stay Consistent with a Schedule: As the days get darker, sticking to a routine is crucial. Plan your workouts at a consistent time each day to make them a non-negotiable part of your schedule, we are still open Saturdays until November to helping gettting that 3 rd session in if needed. And remember MEAL PREP is part of everyone’s schedule :)
6. Find a Workout Buddy or Join a Class: Accountability is key. Working out with a friend or joining a class can keep you motivated, plus it’s more fun to tackle fitness goals with others. Remember we only change a small fee extra if you want to bring a loved one or buddy with you to one of your PT Sessions.
7. Reward Yourself: Set small rewards for reaching milestones. It could be a relaxing massarge, new workout gear, or a healthy ( ish ) treat—something to look forward to after the hard work.
8. Focus on the Mental Health Benefits: Exercise boosts mood and reduces stress, which is especially helpful during the autumn months when seasonal changes can affect your energy and mental health.
